Essentially a Public relations officer for the Indian railways, Manika Lal has written a second novel Chasing New Rainbows. It will be published by Shree Publishers.The book was launched by Rajeev Lochan, The Director of National Gallery of Modern Art, at a function held on Friday at India International Centre in the national Capital.Authors Apurv Nagpal, Anu Singh Chaudhary, columnist, Natasha Badhwar and Sumant Batra, Founder of Kumaon Literary Festival were also present at the launch. They look back into the shadows of their respective lives and move ahead towards the light once they meet each other again.The story veers around to their respective families, lesser known lives of siblings while touching on the inherent conflict between familial expectations of their offspring and the children’s own dreams.
