Flooding update: Council pleads with people not to make unnecessary journeys

first_imgDonegal County Council has pleaded with people not to make unnecessary journeys tonight during torrential rainfall.A council spokesman has said a number of areas are treacherous and should be avoided.These include the Bridgend Roundabout as well as part of the Killea and the Letterkenny to Lifford road. The council has issued a special notice on its Facebook page warning people to take extra care.It confirmed that every effort is being made to respond to flooded areas.“We are receiving reports of extensive flooding around the county.
