first_imgFather CarrTHE family of Oisin Crawford are devastated and bewildered following his death, their parish priest said todayFr Dan Carr has been comforting Oisin’s parents and brothers at the family home today ahead of the 22-year-old’s funeral in St Johnston tomorrow.Health authorities and Gardai have issued warnings about a deadly ecstasy tablet which is being sold in Donegal. It’s believed Oisin had taken a number of the pills prior to his death at 4.30am on Monday. “I just couldn’t take it in. As the news spread through the people, they just struggled to accept what happened,” said Father Dan Carr.“Numbness has surrounded everyone. It seems to be drug-related.“The use of drugs are readily available here as they would be in cities.Fr Dan Carr has asked people to “avoid drugs forever”. He went on: “I’ve spoken to the Crawford family and they are absolutely devastated. Oisin worked with his father in a tyre business in Raphoe. The father and mother are just speechless.“Drugs… are such a problem. Avoid drugs forever. Never touch them. They are too dangerous. I hope this is a wake up call.”Oisin’s wake is continuing at the family home at Whitehill, St Johnston. His funeral is tomorrow (Wednesday) to 11am Mass at St Baithin’s Church in St Johnston, with burial in the adjoining cemetery afterwards.Family flowers only please. Family time on the morning of the funeral.Simon Lynch, 22, a friend of Oisin’s, remains very ill at Letterkenny General Hospital.
